Probiotics
Probiotics are gut-friendly microorganisms residing in the gastrointestinal tract (GI). Their beneficial action on helping to regulate the growth of harmful bacteria has earned them the name of "good" or "helpful" bacteria. Probiotics, such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria work together in a symbiotic relationship, and have been studied for their beneficial effects on overall health and wellness. By helping to diminish the number of damaging bacteria in the gut that can cause infections or inflammation, probiotics help maintain a normal intestinal bacteria ratio of “good” vs. “bad”, which in turn promotes an optimal functioning body.
